Station 59 is an old Richmond Pub, that has recently been converted into a Cocktail Bar / Lounge.
It was once known for its pool comps and live comedy shows however now under new ownership it brings a Latino vibe to Richmond.
Station 59 is offering a wide range of craft beer on tap as well as bottled, complemented with food from Peru (El Tumi peruvian Restaurant).
This is the place for you if you are looking for a chilled lounge to hang with friends after work – don’t forget to try our signature cocktails.
Friday and Saturday Nights, you will find the best of Melbourne’s Latino bands, Playing : Salsa, Bachata, Cumbia, Son, Timba and much more, come check it out.
The new interior design brings a touch of class and the red velvet couches and wooden furniture make you forget that you are in an old pub.
Sundays Lunch is time to bring family together, and stop by for some drinks, food and music. Rotating Cuban Bands bring a taste of havana to your afternoon – here you will see how salsa is really danced on the streets and in the clubs of Cuba.
Come in, the Latino community are more than happy to teach you how it’s done.
I've so far only been on a Sunday but it was wonderful both times, exquisite musicianship, great mojitos and a plush, intimate and family friendly environment. Will definitely keep coming.

El Tumi Restaurant was established June 2017 by the Meza Family. The Peruvian restaurant is located at Station 59 a newly converted Cocktail Bar / Lounge in Richmond. Having grown up amongst Peruvian cuisine and culture, Company Director Jose Meza brings his South American Heritage to this new business venture, no twist or fusion. “It’s a very authentic experience,” he says, proudly. “I wanted my customers to be transported to the real Latin America to experience traditional food, drinks and music.”
The El Tumi Restaurant menu was “inspired by my mother and my grandmother’s cooking, these are their recipes,” Meza says. The menu is full of hearty, home cooked food. A signature dish is Peruvian Ceviche a raw fish tossed with chilli, lime and coriander served with a piece of sweet potato. Other key ingredients used locally are a variety of aji (chilli peppers) that add a distinctive layer of flavour to dishes, like the Aji de Gallina a pulled chicken and rice dish. Potatoes of all kinds are incorporated into many dishes on the menu, from starters like and Papa a la Huancaina (a boiled potato dish in a creamy yellow sauce called Huancaina) through to dessert, with crisp-fried Picarones (sweet-potato doughnuts).
